Four people, including two children are injured following a collision late last night in Scarborough.
One of the children, a 7-year-old boy, is currently in hospital facing life threatening injuries. Paramedics say the boy’s conditions worsened during the day. The second child’s condition is still unknown.
Both injured children were in the same car-- one of them was found unconscious at the scene of the crash.
Paramedics and police say they received a call about a collision on Pharmacy Avenue and Huntingwood Drive just before 6 p.m. According to the police, one car crashed into a light pole. No details have been released about the second vehicle.
Three other patients, including an 8-year-old girl, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Pharmacy Avenue is closed and buses are detouring in the area while police investigate.
