Global Affairs Canada confirm that a B.C man is among the the five killed in a plane crash in Roatan Islands, Honduras.
The Canadian killed has been identified as Patrick Forseth. Forseth was the pilot of the Piper PA-32-260 plane.
The other four passengers have been identified as American tourists heading to Trujillo, a tourist hot-spot, about 80km away from the plane's base.
"Canadian consular officials in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, are in contact with local authorities and are providing consular assistance to the family of the victim," Global Affairs Canada said in a statement.
Local authorities say Forseth had a similar life and death experience back in 2018 when he had to make an emergence landing after his landing gear malfunctioned.
The cause of the crash is still not yet clear.
