The order to conduct the search warrants came after a judge cleared the operation following a series of compliments by health authorities, law enforcement officers, and prison officials, about shortages of protective equipment such as masks.

It’s not clear what law enforcement officers are looking for.

The offices and homes of the current health minister, the former health minister, and a former government spokesperson were also searched.
