Public Health England is asking travellers who returned to Britain from Wuhan, China, in the past 14 days, to self-isolate themselves.
The request comes amidst the coronavirus' rapid global spread. Already, 81 people in China have died from the influenza-like virus. Chinese officials have confirmed close to three-thousand cases--some in the capital, Beijing.
16 other countries including Canada, the U.S, and France, have also confirmed several cases of the virus in their respective countries.
Health officials in Ontario, Canada, confirmed their second "presumptive" case of the coronavirus this morning. The second patient is the spouse to the first patient who originally contracted the virus while in Wuhan.
Public Health England says they've tested and cleared 73 people suspected of carrying the virus. Health officials are now trying to locate 1,460 people believed to have travelled to Wuhan or been in close proximity with someone who has.
