Michigan's secretary of state had her home surrounded by angry Trump supporters

Michigan's Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is opening up about an incident that took place on Saturday, at her home, regarding angry Trump supporters calling for her to "stop the steal," referring to President Trump's unfounded claims of voter fraud in the Nov. 3 election.

Benson said she, in a statement released on Twitter, her home was surrounded by "dozens" of angry voters upset that Trump lost and were demanding for her to over the election results calling.


The large gathering and angry chants began as Benson and her four-year-old son were finishing up Christmas decorations.


"...their efforts won't carry the day. Because our democracy is strong. The will of the people is clear. And I will stand up every day in my job for all voters, even the votes of the protestors who banded together outside my home."


It's not clear if any of the demonstrators' broke into Secretary Benson's home or if any were arrested by law enforcement.


President Trump has not commented on the incident.
