'Never bet against me,' Donald Trump says

U.S President Donald Trump laid out what he believes is his path to re-election despite Democratic nominee Joe Biden being named victor last week.

In a phone call interview with conservative journalist Byron York of the Washington Examiner, President Trump maintained his position that the lawsuits filed in states such as Wisconson and Arizona, will turn the election outcome in his favor.

We’re going to win Wisconsin,” Trump said. Continuing, "Arizona – it’ll be down to 8,000 votes, and if we can do an audit of the millions of votes, we’ll find 8,000 votes easy. If we can do an audit, we’ll be in good shape there."

Trump said his gameplan to overturn Georgia is already underway as the state commits to a recount all the ballots casted, given Biden's narrow victory.

Lawsuits for recounts in Michigan and Pennsylvania have also been filed and are pending a judicial ruling.

The president called himself a " realist who'll do the right thing" if the lawsuits and recounts show that his democratic challenger did, as widely believed, win the election fair and square.

But shortly after saying that, the president published a tweet saying, "For years the Dems have been preaching how unsafe and rigged our elections have been. Now they are saying what a wonderful job the Trump Administration did in making 2020 the most secure election ever. Actually this is true, except for what the Democrats did. Rigged Election!"

Even the most hopeful Republicans, like conservative journalist Byron York, view the president's scenarios to victory as "optimistic" and "one at odds with the current state of the race." York went on to say the president's hope for a comeback is "bleak."

All the election results are now in. Biden secured 306 Electoral College votes, and President Trump, 232.
