No deal without representation: Palestine

Palestinian officials have vowed to reject any "Middle East" peace plan the U.S drafts with Israel.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas

The remark came after U.S officials announced they would present their road map to peace in the Middle East with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on Tuesday.

No Palestinians were invited nor notified about the White House meeting. A spokesperson for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said no peace deal will be recognized without "the approval of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian leadership."

Palestine removed itself from all peace talks with the U.S after the Trump administration recognized the hotly contested city of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and broke from international tradition by recognizing Israel's settlement policy as lawful.

Palestine has accused the U.S of having a pro-Israel approach to peace negotiations instead of sticking to the norm of being an impartial overseer.
