The attack took place on Sunday in Hamburg, Germany. The 29-year-old alleged perpetrator struck the victim on the head with a shovel.

Hamburg police say the victim is in hospital receiving treatment for non-life-threatening head trauma injuries.

Passer-by’s rendered first aid to the victim before rescue crews arrived at the scene. Police say the lone-attacker will be charged for causing grievous bodily harm.
