Police in Gillam Manitoba are looking for 2 young men who are suspects in a double homicide which happened on July 15th in British Columbia. The young men were caught on a surveillance camera in Meadow Lake, Saskatoon on Sunday.
The RCMP say they may have escaped Gillam with unintentional help from the public so, police will be going door-to-door in communities in that area over the next 72 hours. At a news conference this afternoon, a police spokesperson stressed that there have been no confirmed sightings of Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky outside the area of Gillam., Man., where a search is concentrated.
Police have released the old footage of McLeod and Schmegelsky in hopes that a member of the public identifies the two. If anyone sees these two young men, you're advised not to approach them, but instead, contact your nearest police station.
Police are also asking the public to send in any information to them before putting it on social media to avoid the spreading of misinformation.
