As more countries, including the U.S and Canada, approve vaccinations aimed at combating the coronavirus, Twitter announced on Wednesday it will now start labeling "conspiracies about Covid-19 vaccines" as false and require users to delete their posts.

The policy will take effect on Dec. 21. Twitter said any posts about the vaccine "used to intentionally cause harm to or control populations, including statements about vaccines that invoke a deliberate conspiracy” will be removed per the consultation of health experts on the potential harm the tweet might cause.

Unsubstantiated claims on the adverse effects of receiving Covid-19 vaccines will also be removed.

Twitter joins Facebook and Youtube in committing to ban posts that they believe goes against information about the coronavirus as depicted by public health experts.
