No further details about the cases have been released to the public. Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty told the media all is under control.

"The NHS is extremely well-prepared and used to managing infections and we are already working rapidly to identify any contacts the patients had, to prevent further spread. We have robust infection control measures in place to respond immediately," Whitty said.

Meanwhile, 83 Brits and 27 foreign nationals stuck in Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the virus, are scheduled to fly back to the U.K on government-sponsored flights. The travellers will immediately be taken to hospital upon their arrival and quarantined for at least two weeks.

So far the virus has spread to 18 countries, forcing the World Health Organization to declare the pandemic a world emergency.

China is the worst hit by the virus. The Chinese government has recorded 203 deaths and 9,692 confirmed infections.
