W.H.O says a Covid-19 vaccine might be ready by the end of this year

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyersus said during a board meeting that the health organization’s vaccine against the coronavirus might be ready by the end of this year.

“We will need vaccines and there is hope that by the end of this year we may have a vaccine. There is hope,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyersus.


Once the vaccine is ready, W.H.O plans to distribute 2 billion doses of the drug by the end of 2021.


So far the virus has engulfed the entire world, infecting over 35 million people and killing more than a million.
